Crossing the Equator!

At 1:20 AM on January 13, 2012, I crossed the equator!

I was at 00*00'.000 degrees latitude!

For your information:  The equator is the intersection of the Earth's surface with the plane perpendicular to the Earth's axis of rotation and containing the Earth's center of mass.  In simpler terms, it is an imaginary line on the Earth's surface equidistant form the North Pole and South Pole that divides the Earth into a Northern and Southern Hemisphere. The length of the Earth's equator is about 40,075 kilometers. The equator is one of the five main circles of latitude that are based on the relationship between the Earth's axis of rotation and the plane of the Earth's orbit around the sun.  It is the only line of latitude which is also a great circle.  The Earth bulges slightly at the equator. It has an average diameter of 12, 750 kilometers.
