Days 43 and 44 - At Sea in the South Pacific

Another great two sea days! These days are sometimes much needed, as we try to do as much as possible and see as much as we can when we are in a port! I continued to beach it by the pool, go to yoga, knit and work on my classes!

There was a talent show in the afternoon that featured passengers from our ship!  The talent was amazing! There was a singer, a poet, comedians and the HAL chorus, and everyone was very talented!

The highlight was Graeme Jolley who was a mind reader from the UK.  I was a little skeptical about this show at the beginning.  Wow is all I could say after! The guy was amazing!  Now I know that people say it is just for show, but I have no idea how he did the things he did!  Jane has a premonition that she would be called up to the stage at dinner and she was!  So one of the things Graeme did was had three people write down a 3 digit number (which he did not know), then Jane picked one of the numbers (again he didn't know) and turned to that page in a Las Vegas phone book, then she picked a column and she had to say the name of the person to herself at the top of the column! Then… Graeme wrote down that name! WOW! and to take it a step further, he wrote down the phone number too!  He did alot of other amazing tricks too!  It was really a fun show and highly mesmerizing!

Unfortunately, our friend, George, hasn't been feeling too well and the doctor on board advised him to go to the hospital tomorrow in Pago Pago. Everyone on the ship is hoping the best for George.

We have been going up to the crow's nest before dinner every night because the sunsets have been amazing!  Plus you get a 180 degree view of the sky and ocean from up there!  Each night the sky has been different and the sunsets equally unique!  The shapes of the clouds have also been very impressive!  It is very interesting to look at the clouds on ship at sea because usually we only see clouds right above us when we are at home because houses, buildings and hills block out them in the distance.  But here on the ocean, you can see clouds in every direction, at every height and you see clouds of every type.  Looking at the horizon it appears that there are clouds on top of the water when they are at the horizon, but actually the clouds are at the same height as the other clouds in the sky. They appear to look against the water because of the curvature of the earth!
