Our last day in Sydney!
We got up early and went to the Max Brenner - The Chocolate Bald Head - restaurant for hot dark chocolate and coffee! I love the Hug Mugs that they serve the hot chocolate in! We enjoyed our drinks!
Then we walked down Pitt Street and found another wonderful shopping street! There was store after store located in this quant old building with beautiful woodwork and architecture. We went from store to store admiring the clothes and the unique decor in each store! There were two stores that were filled with the most beautiful clothing and I wanted absolutely everything! Not to mention, each store was decorated amazingly!
Next we ventured back to the Queen Victoria Building to have brunch! We found a great cafe that served a yummy egg sandwich!
Our day in Sydney was almost over! We made our way back to the hotel, meet up with Bill and Sondra, drove to the airport, and flew to Cairns. The security measures taken at the airport were not very strict, my ID was not even checked! We had a wonderful flight, complete with a really good meal and a chocolate bar that was delicious! The best part was the Mango Ice Cream bar that they served toward the end of the flight.
When we arrived in Cairns, we took a taxi to Harbor Lights Apartments. They were located right next to the harbor and we could see the water from our room! Our apartment had a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a very large balcony!
We decided to go to the grocery store and buy food for dinner and breakfast! Sondra got ingredients for spaghetti dinner complete with every type of spice needed and I got Australian cereal, Australian fruit and Australian chocolate cookies! We made spaghetti, salad, and garlic bread!
We decided to have a nice evening relaxing on the balcony and when we went out inside we saw the bats again! This time thousands of them were flying over head from the rainforest in the distance. They just kept coming in waves! It was crazy to see them flying over us! Luckily none of them flew into our room!
